Love has no conditions.
You don't have to be
near me to love me.
You don’t have to miss
me to love me.
You don’t even have
to do anything to love me.
Whatever you do
do
has nothing to do with loving me or not.
Love is a physical
fact, an energy, like the rays of the sun.
We are all generating
it all the time, whether we want to or not! It is our physical nature.
We are always in a
process of choice, though perhaps not consciously:
to ignore this energy
we’re generating, to be distracted by other things,
or to pay attention
to it, enjoy it and be guided in our actions by it.
There is no pain in
love.
There is no longing
in love.
There is no emptiness
in love.
No sadness, only joy.
No deprivation, only
fulfillment.
All your pain, your
upset, your drama may be real but it’s not love!
I’m not saying you
have no love, on the contrary I say you are actually constituted of love.
I’m only saying that
most of those things you call love are really something else:
the “drama of
life” to which we are all more or less addicted.
You are absolutely
brimming with love inside. Can you see it? Can you feel it?
Look inside, be quiet,
meditate, pray.
Learn to tell the drama
from the love, OK?
(2007)
If you love don’t let
it show.
Make sure he’s the
last to know.
If he knows he’ll surely
run.
Just hide yourself,
it’s much more fun.
But when he chases after
you,
The trouble is that
you run too.
You’re also caught
up in the game –
‘Catch as can catch’
is its name.
But that’s not love,
it’s mechanistic,
A function strict and
realistic.
Love is of another
order –
Altogether something
other.
No repulsion, no attraction:
Simple energy in action.
A golden sun on golden
face
(at once alive and
full of peace)
Lights her inner animation,
All eyes, ears, and
heart that feels frustration:
All does not unfold
with ease,
Life will not take
its rightful place.
With quick’ning pulse
her spirit wakes,
Now all is known within
her soul.
Time evolves, as so
does action.
Subtle powers, seeming
fractions
of the universal whole
combine: a new gestalt
she makes!
Her agony lives on,
internalized
As death and life do
battle for their prize.
A clue to my love’s
nature surely lies
In the shining iridescence
of her radiant eyes.
Deep knowledge couched
in such simplicity
Evokes in me yet purer
impulse to felicity.
To you, my love, I pledge
the purer man I will become –
Not that I would, nor should, but could:
As its warm rays draw
green growth towards the sun
Your perfect being’s
a magnet for my mood.
Blessed energies at
play may wax and wane;
My love for you’s eternally
the same.
Sometimes obscured by masks of personality,
It burns within my
breast for all eternity.
Clouds may cross the son’s radiant face,
But in my heart, you’ve
always pride of place!
I called my love,
She was in trouble
I thought “ ‘tis she?
Perhaps her double?”
The glorious luxury
of her voice
Now poor in heart,
robbed of all choice…
So strange, when life’s
demands material
Erase all trace of
joy ethereal!
What means my life?
To who’m I true?
To pain? To joy?
To God? To you?
My dear, be strong,
Not as before.
The force around you’s
So much more
Than you can ever be
and yet:
You are this
force
and more, I’ll bet!
